Personal Development, What You Do When Time Is Yours

If you are able to free your time, you have the luxury of doing with that time whatever it is you want. For me, it has been personal development. The link that I provided is a website owned and ran by a friend of mine, and I wanted to share what he is doing. Yes, I know that this has nothing to do with affiliate marketing, but making money online is not an end in and of itself; the freedom to pursue my personal development is.

I had been reading a lot of personal development blogs and sites, and came across this one because it seemed different. The owner Joshua Noerr says he is out to prove that personal development does not have to be stuffy and up tight. I think he is doing a great job.

You will find all sorts of funny stories, weird observations about life that are spun into life lessons, and practical tips about achieving what you want.

I just wanted to share this find with you. I realize I don't update this blog all that often, but if you are looking for a fantastic read about personal development, I thought you would like it.

Learning Spanish Fast

Like I said before, due to affiliate marketing, I have enjoyed a great life style, and since I love to travel, that is what I spend most of my time doing. I have a special love for the Latin American countries, especially Argentina. My first trip really jumped up at me though, so learning spanish fast was a necessity for me.

I was asked to tag along on a trip to Argentina to photograph some of the buildings in Buenos Aires. "No problem," I said. Actually though, there was a problem, I didn't speak a word of spanish! That wouldn't work for me, since I wanted to really experience the culture during the trip. So, I needed a program.

I went to the first and most obvious place, Rosetta Stone. Of course that's a good choice, but since I just bought a new camera lense and my ticket to Buenos Aires, the price tag was a little more than I wanted to spend. So, like most searches, online I went, and I was very surprised by my results.

Rocket Spanish was the only program I could find that had both a download version, and a shipped version. Since I was pressed for time, I went with the download. The course costs a little more than half of what Rosetta Stone was offering at the time, so it was a no brainer.

I was very pleased with my purchase. It was easy to follow along, and I absorbed enough spanish in two weeks to be able to get around and make simple conversation. In another 6 weeks, I could carry on a conversation quite well.

Being bi-lingual really is the only way to go these days. If learning spanish fast is something you want to do, and you don't want to spend a boat load of cash on it, Rocket Spanish is for you! Adios!

Travelling Essentials Pt. 1

Affiliate marketing has given me a lot of freedom, and I have chosen to use that freedom to travel. Having been traveling for some time now, I have picked up a lot of tricks that make the whole thing easier. When you are leaving the country for over a month at a time, you don't want to pack like it. I know it seems counterintuitive, but less is really more.

I have two pieces of equipment that make this much easier, and that I couldn't travel without. The first is the Amazon Kindle.

This little piece of equipment saves me enourmous hassles. First, I usually have long plane rides (LA to Singapore is especially fun for some reason), and like anyone else, I usually read on the plane. But when you are doing everything you can to save space, how do you bring all the books along with you that you want? Until I found the Kindle I didn't have a good answer.

I can load all of the books I want, enjoy wireless while abroad, and save huge amounts of space in my carry on (I never check luggage, no matter how long my trip). If I finish the books I planned to read early, no problem, the wireless technology allows me to access the internet and get a few more.

The screen is the perfect size, works great in the sunlight, and is still small enough to make it a non factor in packing. Stay tuned to this blog for the next piece of equipment I can't travel without, but for now, get started and get your own Kindle right now! Talk to ya soon!

Article Marketing Secrets To Get You Paid Today

This blog is going to be all about ways to make money with affiliate marketing. I've been doing it for a while now, and while I am not rich, I do not have to punch a clock everyday at a place I hate. Whether this type of freedom is your goal, or you just want a little extra on the side, I want to give you a few article marketing secrets that will get you started. I will also give you access to the same program that got me started.

Article marketing is simply a way to drive traffic to a place that will sell products that you have affiliated with. It's really that easy. You will need to familiarize yourself with places like EzineArticles.com, GoArticles.com, and ArticlesBase.com. There are several others, but these will get you started.

The first step is to write great content. You really do want to offer value to people in your articles. I also suggest not getting affiliated with a product that you don't believe in. People can tell phony when you're writing, so be able to get excited about it!

One of the best article marketing secrets I can share is regarding the author resource box. There is definately a right and a wrong way to do a resource box. You want your box to make readers want to click through to your links. You need great content, a reason to click through, and a place to send them.

This is really only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to article marketing. I want you to take advantage of the same product that taught me these article marketing secrets and a ton more.

All you have to do is click here and I will tell you a lot more. Cheers to your future success!
